Terms of Service for WorkZone
Last updated: August 19, 2026
These terms cover your use of WorkZone, a free browser extension that replaces your new tab page with search, quick links, and a customizable grid of productivity widgets. By installing or using WorkZone, you agree to these terms.
What WorkZone is
WorkZone runs entirely inside your browser. There is no WorkZone account, login, or backend server storing your data, see the Privacy Policy for exactly what data each widget touches and where it goes.
License
WorkZone is provided free of charge. You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension on browsers you control. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the extension as your own product.
Acceptable use
- Don't use WorkZone to violate any applicable law.
- Don't attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension beyond what's permitted by open browser extension standards.
- Don't use automated means to abuse the third-party services WorkZone's widgets connect to (see the Privacy Policy for the full list).
Third-party services
Several optional widgets (weather, currency, finance, RSS, and others) call third-party APIs directly from your browser to function. WorkZone doesn't control those services' availability, accuracy, or uptime, and isn't responsible for their content or behavior. If you connect your own API key for a feature like the AI sidebar or GitHub widget, your use of that provider is also governed by that provider's own terms.
No warranty
WorkZone is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Widget data (weather, stock prices, currency rates, and similar) is sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Don't rely on it for decisions where accuracy matters, like financial trades.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkZone and its developer aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including data loss from browser storage, third-party service outages, or reliance on widget data.
Changes
WorkZone is actively developed. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time, and these terms may be updated to reflect that. Continuing to use the extension after an update means you accept the current terms.
